With a hot and sunny week in Las Vegas late last year, the SEMA show proved that the modifying scene has still got many fresh ideas. Some of our staff had visited the show to cover the event for our readers and came back with way too many pictures and the effect that no words could ever cover the event. For Australia’s biggest overall car and motorbike enthusiasts’ show, the week proved to be bigger and better than ever. The level of work performed by not only the workshops, but also the owners has raised the bar again which is a trend which we hope to continue seeing.

First up a heartfelt thanks to all who attended the fourth round of the MEA ACT "Listen and Loud" series, held at the newly located Super Audio Installations in Phillip. Owners Pat and Pedro had been working frantically to get their customers' cars ready for the comp, and all performed exceptionally well on the day, taking out a number of places and awards.

Well the dust has finally settled after a raucous weekend of car stereos, burnt sausages, good times and quality noise. Sunday 28 June saw a fantastic turnout at BDL Car Stereo in Fyshwick, ACT with 31 competitors from all over the ACT and NSW coming together to feel the love of heavy bass and pristine sound quality.

Held between the 26th of February and the 1st of March 2009, the 17th installation of the Powercruise event proved to be yet another sell out event. Every year this show proves to grow in numbers from entrants to spectators. It is a refreshing site to see that off-street drag events are mixed up with drifting, the show and shine and the expected hot laps around the track.

The Melbourne International Motorshow saw many car companies showcase the latest showroom floor stoppers, allowing visitors to get up close with favorite rides.
It was clear that Lexus, Mitsubishi and Subaru were the crowd favorites with their interesting hands-on displays. Crowds were loving being able to race their friends in a Lancer with many opting to enjoy a free coffee from the owners club while looking out on the view over the Motorshow while they waited.

This expo was presented by some of the biggest names in the parts industry and for the first time in Sydney, was held concurrently with the Collision Repair Expo.

With over 320 exhibitors spreading over 4.5 acres, this event is the largest comprehensive showcase of automotive aftermarket accessories.

This annual event is nothing new. It is the annual pilgrimage point for all car, bike and truck builders. Every year in the past showed some of the most immaculate rides with extreme attention to detail and this year was even better.

As one of the best Autosalon shows in the past few years, this years Final Battle proved just how diverse our modifying culture extends. With the street driven and show purpose cars taking over the event, some exotics and old school classics mixed up the variety.

Held at Homebush, within Sydney’s inner west, the Bike Show was a large success with a large crowd turning out to view the latest and future models of motorbikes. Custom bikes were also scattered throughout so that those with the modifying bug able to scope what they could do to certain bikes if they were to buy one.

Held on the 16th of November, 2008 in Sydney’s south-west, this show proved that it could gain the attention and recognition to go up against some of the larger shows that Sydney is acquainted to. Organised by Hot4s own Joe Franco, spectators were assured that the show would be a success. Held on the 2nd of November 2008, Supernats again showed exactly how a high horsepower show needs to be presented. With big name engine builders attending and proving their workmanship on the drag strip, the crowds were always entertained with burnouts, drag races and a show of highly detailed and maintained vehicles.

The highly anticipated International Motor Show is the wet dream for many car enthusiasts. Whether you are into luxury, high performance, people movers or just cars that get you from A to B, every spectator’s jaws dropped as they entered to possibly one of the better shows to grace Sydney within the past few years.

With the 2010 Compak Attack show coming to an end on a warm summers day in March, the spectators were overjoyed with an array of devilishly quick street and drag cars as they smoked up the tarmac and passed the finish line almost accident free.

The Blacktown City Show is held at Blacktown Showground annually either in February or March. It has been running for 87 years and is the longest running event in Blacktown.

The Ute Muster was introduced 3 years ago and has been very successful in which the NSW Ute Club hope to build on and improve in various aspects. All utes are welcome regardless of whether it is a club or individual entry.
