SUPER SLEEK 180SX

Owner Shane has been modifying cars for quite some time now and you can tell because the level of excellence and finish that this car shows is truly remarkable. He is obviously a man who knows what he wants in terms of finish and cohesiveness.

The car itself is of course a Nissan 180sx and has been finished off in a striking shade of denim-blue paint. But this was only done after a modified Type-X front bumper with custom splitters, Origin side skirts, modified Origin rear bar was added. Other additions to the bodywork consists of flared front and rear guards, Origin carbon fibre rear wing, Origin carbon fibre hatch wing, fibreglass bonnet and clear tail lights. The subtle changes that most would not pick up on are the HSV side vents which have been grafted to the quarter panels and the Ganador mirrors.

The engine has a good going over as well with a shopping list of parts being used to create what one would believe is quite a bullet proof motor. The SR20DET motor has been upgraded a HKS 2540 ball bearing turbo, split system exhaust with twin 3 inch JUN mufflers, Spitfire coil packs, Tomei camshafts and cam gears, ARC front mounted intercooler and Custom plenum.

The list keeps going with a Blitz boost controller, APEXi Power FC computer, Bosch fuel pump, Greddy radiator, 550cc injectors and Nismo fuel pressure regulator. A Xtreme ceramic button clutch puts the power to the ground and with all of these good things, add up to a solid 230.8kw at the rear wheels

Naturally the brakes have been upgraded with K Sport 8 piston callipers at the front and 6 piston callipers at the rear with 330mm discs all around. ISC coilovers and K Sport hydraulic handbrake keep it all nice and tight and finish the package off nicely. A custom strut brace and torque strut work with a Whiteline adjustable sway bar and camber kit.

The rolling stock are ROH Modena’s and measure 18inch with a 225 tyre in the front and a 255 in the rear.

The interior has been brought up to scratch with a grey leather re-trim and modified S13 seats. Headrests have also been added to the rear bench. A MOMO steering wheel, shift knob and pedals bring aid with renewing the interior as well.

A custom boot installation comprises of a Pioneer head unit, Alpine V12 amplifier and Focal 6 inch splits with the bass coming from a 12 inch Alpine subwoofer.

With such a comprehensive build, we wonder what is left for Shane to do, but with such an eye for detail, we may see another show winner just around the corner.
