Held between the 2nd and the 4th of April 2009 at the Sydney Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour, this event proved to be a big success amongst those the auto trade. This expo was presented by some of the biggest names in the parts industry and for the first time in Sydney, was held concurrently with the Collision Repair Expo.

With over 320 exhibitors spreading over 4.5 acres, this event is the largest comprehensive showcase of automotive aftermarket accessories.

An array of exotic, custom and show cars and bikes were on display among the stands to show off the products that make these pieces of metal worthy of so much recognition. Similarly, this event was also the place for competing companies to view each others products and perhaps build bonds together to develop even better products.

When walking through the doors, it became a true modifiers wet dream, but unfortunately for the general public, the event was only open to those within the industry. It was a place where business owners could discuss freely with their suppliers and perhaps meet new suppliers. Suppliers from every part of the industry were available to discuss their new ranges and promote their existing services and products.

The Auto Aftermarket Expo shall be returning to Melbourne in 2011, and shall be showcasing the newest parts, accessories, tools and equipment that will be developed over the next two years. With the product range that this writer saw, I can only expect much bigger and better things in the years to come.
